Frequently Asked Questions
What the heck?
Earth is again facing an extraterrestrial thread. This time you're one of them, a member of the alien race called XET.
Your mission is to help grow the empire of XET by purifying planets in order to make them inhabitable for your race.
This can be done by gun blasting life sucking alien motherships, but that's not the way of the honourable XET.
As a XET you have stye. Thus you use a more elegant approach to get rid of any intelligent life on earth - a virus.
Please read the disclaimer if you should have any moral doubts playing this game.
Got any general help for creating my virus?
Try to make your virus efficient. That includes keeping your cost as low as possible while still building a sophisticated virus.
Also make sure you don't make your virus too resistant, otherwise it will be difficult to get rid of the virus
after the mission is accomplised.
How do all the different values affect each other?
To the right is a simplified flowchart that shows how the different game elements are connected.
How can I get a higher score?
Here's a list of things that will reflect positively on your score:
- A low cost for the virus
- Annihilating the planet in a preferably short time span.
- Direct viral kills.
- Indirect kills through headline events.
There are also events that will lower your score:
- The cost of the virus.
- The virus is cured.
- Positive headlines about the virus being cured.
- The virus doesn't die after the annihiliation of humanity and needs to be destroyed by other XET personell.
What exactly is the extra-multiplicator?
Your score will get multiplied with the extra-multiplicator once you win.
That multiplicator is A TENTH OF:
Days left to deadline MINUS ( a fiftieth of days taken to remove the virus after annihilation ) MINUS ( a tenth of the cost of your virus)
The extra-multiplicator's minimum is 1.
Why do the headlines have different colors?
White headlines are indicating that the events on that day are of a general nature.
Green headlines indicate that there's been a successfull attempt to fight off your virus.
Yellow headlines mean your virus' intelligence successfully manipulated humans and made them infect others.
Red headlines mean your virus' intelligence successfully manipulated humans and made them kill others.
